Happy December! I cannot believe that Thanksgiving is over, and we are once again getting ready to celebrate the birth of our Savior. What a wonderful time of year this is, when everyone is full of joy and a little bit stressed out at the same time.
St. Luke’s Sunday School program is still averaging around nine students per class. Lessons for November from the Spark Story Bible covered Rebekah and Isaac, Isaac’s Blessing, and Jacob Wrestles. No class was held on the 25th due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Our World Vision sponsored child from Indonesia, Nopriana Theodorus, celebrated her 14th birthday on the 6th – we sent her a card signed by all the Sunday School students, along with a donation for a birthday party and gifts.
December is going to be a very busy month, even though we only have one lesson planned. Here is the schedule: Sun 12/2 – the lesson will be Angel’s Visit
– Sun 12/9 – Christmas pageant rehearsal 11am-12pm
– Sun 12/16 – Christmas caroling (no class)
– Sat 12/22 – Christmas pageant rehearsal 10-11am
– Mon 12/24 – Christmas pageant performance at the 4pm service
– Sun 12/23 and 12/30 – NO Classes will be held
*** Sunday School Families – watch your email for detailed info *** In addition, don’t forget to attend the mid-week Advent services in Kurtz Hall on Wednesday December 5, 12, and 19 – soup supper at 6pm, service at 6:45pm.
We are still taking volunteer signups to teach classes in January thru May 2019. If you would like to volunteer in the classroom, would like to register your child, or have any questions, please contact Emma Mitchell or Chu Baldwin.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support of St Luke’s Sunday School program. God bless you.
