Drinking tea by the fire in the early morning is a blessed time and activity for me. It is a moment to ponder God’s goodness and soak up his nourishing word. I give thanks for the life-giving relationships that God has granted. There is no end to God’s mercy! I hope that this season finds you immersed in the kindness of God as we journey together through a time of remembrance of the cross and resurrection of Jesus. What great love allowed Jesus to endure the cross for us and for our salvation! What spiritual power that raised him from the dead! That power now dwells in you by the Holy Spirit you received at baptism. That Love is the driving force of your life leading you to great acts of mercy and generosity. Oh what a good life we have in Christ! I’m so happy and privileged to share it with you.
I look forward to the ways the Spirit will work among us in the days ahead.
Matthew 28:16-20 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
