As we look around at all the beauty that surrounds us, remember that God has made it all and loves to share it with you!
How many times have you felt alone in your lifetime? There were times when you may have been separated from parents as a child. You probably felt alone as a teenager when friends deserted you. There may have been broken relationships in your young adult years that left you devastated. For those of us who have made it into the latter half of life there are new challenges. Throughout it all, God is with us.
Jesus said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” In this month of Thanksgiving let’s remember that God will never leave us alone. We are not orphaned even after our parents die. We have the Holy Spirit with us wherever we go giving comfort and guidance. Rejoice for you are not alone! We also have this wonderful fellowship of believers here at St. Luke and stretching across the globe and throughout time.
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12
Be of good courage and invite others to join our happy band. We only have a short window to make a difference. Let’s go forth with all the energy God inspires to share the wonderful message of Jesus and his love!
Peace to you,
