How does grace make a difference in your life? Are you more quick to forgive? Do you tend to see the best in others and give people second and third chances when they make mistakes? This is the work of Jesus in us. When he died on the cross for us and prayed “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do,” he gave us an example to follow and a way of life to live.
On April 28th, we had our first St. Luke Bingo Night! The night was a lot of fun and I love to hear that many of you would like to do it again! We had around 35 participants and raised $700! Thank you to all of you that donated or attended the fundraiser!
May was a big time of planning for Confirmation Sunday and the National Youth Gathering! We had seven 8th graders that confirmed their faiths, sharing great stories about how God has led them through life and how they want to share their gifts with others. We also are fully booked for the National Youth Gathering and will be traveling on June 26th with Immanuel Lutheran Church!
Thank you so much to everyone who participated, donated, and prayed for our carnival fundraiser! It was a huge success this year and we will now be able to move forward with finishing our playground renovation! We truly could not do what we do, without your help and support!
June is here and maybe warm weather will finally be the norm. This, we hope, will be the weather we have been looking for so we can paint Kurtz Hall on June 9th, our next workday for the church. Denise will not be available, but Don Merry will be heading up the work party so mark June 9th on your calendar and come out to help. Everything will be set up so all you will have to do is give a couple of hours of your time, 9:00 to 11:00, to complete this project. Brushes, paint, and gloves will be provided along with a great selection of treats. If you can put this on your calendar to help it will be greatly appreciated.
