This is post-Easter time. Jesus is risen! He walks among us. He is alive forevermore and gives eternal life to all who believe.
John 11:25-26 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
Jesus’ question was addressed to Martha. Her brother Lazarus had died and she was grieving yet hopeful. We are often in the place between grief and hope in our lives. There are things we wish were different in the world: less people hungry, less violence, more respect, cooperation, and love shown between people. At the same time we are hopeful as we think of both Lazarus and Jesus rising from the dead.
We can do something every day to bring life in the world as the Spirit works in and through us.
