The month of May is our last month for Sunday school. On May 1st we will be reviewing “Promise of the Holy Spirit” John 14:23-29. May 8th is Mother’s Day and I’m not sure if we will be having Sunday school. I will let the parents know before then that’s for sure. May 15th is our last day of Sunday school. We will be playing a game called “Reviewing what we learned this Year” with prizes and snacks. I heard from the 5th grade teachers that they have something special that day for the 5th graders that will be promoted to the confirmation class.
Pastor Bob and Amy will be traveling to Kenya and Uganda in July. Part of their time in Kenya will be spent visiting Julia and Vincent Leiyoole, our World Mission Prayer League missionary family. Pastor Bob asked Julia if there was a project that St. Luke could participate in as part of their mission trip. The following are excerpts from a couple of her emails with her responses and a few highlighted needs that I have inserted.
